Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday. I have been spending the week at my parents’ house and their dial-up internet is, well, primitive. Which is to say that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and it’s slow as molasses, which is why most people don’t use it anymore.
Anyway, yesterday I was talking to Will as we laid on his bed at grandpa & grandma’s, realizing that some day he won’t be three anymore. Sad. I asked him, “Will, can you stay three forever?” “Not forever. Just until next week. Then I’m going to be four.” (His birthday is in January. The awareness of the space-time continuum for my son is somewhat limited.) I asked him if he missed his daddy, who is at a Bible camp this week. “Yes,” he said. “And sometimes I miss you.”
One of those statements that makes you want to smother your small child with hugs and kisses.
I’ll type the Thrifty Thursday post tonight. It’s about saving money on kids’ clothes, so I hope you take a few minutes to read it!
