My son was reciting John 3:16 the other night:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only forgotten son…”
“Wait a minute, what?” I said.
“Yeah, his forgotten son, ” said Will, very confidently.
“Begotten son,” I replied.
“Oh, yeah.” He said, matter-of-factly. Then, with a puzzled look, “Who’s that?”
Which begs the question…has this world forgotten Jesus?
Side note: I just have to say that yesterday, on September 15th, I got a tan sitting in my yard while the kids played in the wading pool. 83 degrees here in N.D. and it won’t cool off for awhile. I’ll take summer in September. Goodness knows we didn’t get any summer in July when we were supposed to! Have a marvelous day!

I have heard it said that young people these days recognize the golden arches of McDonald’s more often than knowing who Jesus Christ is. That sounds like forgetting to me.
