I love Pasta Carbonara. To be honest, I pretty much like anything made with pasta. So I decided to recreate this lovely restaurant dish at home. After losing my Women’s Day magazine recipe somewhere in the pile on my counter I looked online for another option. When I stumbled up this recipe from The Pioneer Woman I just had to give it a try.
I sauteed the bacon, onion and garlic… (pardon the browning bananas in the background, I used them a few days later in my Better For You Banana Muffins)
I mixed up the sauce…
And in the meantime Will helped me cook and drain the noodles.
Oh. My. Goodness. This dish was seriously delicious even thought it’s not exactly healthy. But it’s a great meal for a rainy, cold day, paired with a dark green salad and crusty bread.
You can see (fantastic) step-by-step photos at the Pioneer Woman’s website. And now I’m pretty sure I need her cookbook too. :)
