One of Will and Leah’s favorite things to do is listen to music, especially music they can dance and sing along to as loud as possible! :) We’ve done quite a bit of online searching and found some great websites where you can listen to kids music and children’s radio programs for free. They are great for toddlers to preschoolers and beyond! I wanted to share with you some of our favorites!
Old_radio
His Kids is a Christian website where you can listen to a variety of radio programs and kids music “stations” for all ages. It is produced by Cornerstone University Radio out of Grand Rapids, MI. Some of the programs we love are Chuck Swindoll’s Paws and Tales Show, HisKids Radio (which has lots of good praise and worship music), and The Pond Radio Show.
If you haven’t yet discovered Pandora, you are missing out! This website has hundreds of stations that you can customize by artist, genre or song. You can mix and match to create your own station. Pandora does have ads displayed for TV programs and products that aren’t necessarily age appropriate but my kids don’t look at the screen so it hasn’t been a problem for us. They also have audio ads from time to time but the mute button is easy to hit if I find it a nuisance! Will and Leah love their VeggieTales station and the Toddler Music station usually has a variety good songs, if you don’t mind Sesame Street and Disney type music.

Seeds Family Worship
If your kids like up-beat Christian music set to Scripture, check out the Seeds family worship music. You can listen to a full album online. They have themed albums like “Seeds of Courage” and “Seeds of Faith” as well as many others. Will calls this his “rock n roll” music!

The Donut Man Online

The Donut Man has been around since I was a kid and his faith based music is lively and entertaining as well as educational! You can order The Donut Man DVDs and CDs on his website but you can also listen to Donut Man songs online. Just click on any of the CDs on this page and it will bring up the audio clips. Most of the clips are of good length and because we have some of his DVDs my kids already know most of the songs!

At the Classics for Kids website, you can listen to classical music from a number of composers such as Bach, Chopin and Beethoven. This website also has radio programs you can listen to with your child if you are doing a homeschool music lesson on different composers. Your kids can also take online quizzes and complete worksheets that go along with the podcast. Just click on “on the radio”.

If you have any favorites, I’d love to hear about them. Hope you enjoy these stations just as much as we have!
