While craftiness is not my strong point, I enjoy trying fun kid snacks that I find on Pinterest, the internet or in magazines. In a recent issue of Family Fun magazine, I saw an octopus made out of fruit! It’s a snack that’s healthy with a little bit of sweetness–my favorite ;) I actually thought the octopus idea was a little weird, but figured my kids would probably love it.
Ingredients
16 green grapes, halved
1 Granny Smith apple, halved
Chocolate chips
Mini marshmallows
Peanut Butter or Honey
Simply take the ingredients and create an octopus as shown above. I surprised my children with this snack, but this would also be a fun one to assemble with the kiddos. Use peanut butter to attach the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows to the apple.
Doesn’t he look like he’s just begging someone to eat him? Enjoy!
