During hard times, we need Bible verses that give us the strength that only comes from Jesus. Here are 7 Scriptures that can help you be strong in the Lord.
It’s difficult to admit that we are weak. The world tells us to be strong and that we can “do this!”
So when I feel something difficult creeping in, I try to get it off my mind.
I use self-talk that is supposed to make me assured in my own abilities.
I try to walk through hard times on my own, saying to myself “I’m tough, I can handle this!”
Have you gone through an experience like this? And had the same response as me?
Despite the constant messages to be strong and be tough, we often discover that our weaknesses become even more evident when we try really hard to be “strong and courageous”.
Maybe there’s a reason why. Perhaps we need to draw strength from a different source other than ourselves.
During times like these, I am so thankful that we can go to the Word to find strength.
Reading Bible verses on strength doesn’t mean that our hard times will magically disappear. On many occasions, we DO have to walk through difficulty.
But what matters is where we go for the strength to get through these challenging days.
There is great peace in knowing the One that can handle our trials and difficulties.
Big or small, He does care and richly blesses us with strength. We are told in Scripture to “ask and we shall receive”, and that includes asking for strength!
Wouldn’t it be amazing to experience the power of God’s Word over whatever you’re facing today?
I pray that this would be true for all of us. That we would draw on the never ending strength that Christ provides.
